The Mini dermatome may be used on all areas where traditional patterns of skin graft knives employed (i.e. thighs), and in flat areas where the other dermatomes cannot be used. It may be used for a precise and controlled tangential excision (debridement and graft harvesting) of any shape and depth in any body area (i.e. hands, face & feet). Beside debridement and graft harvesting these features make it an ideal tool for a precise and controlled depithelialization surgery (i.e. mammoplasty) and preparation of dermal grafts.
The "Rosenberg" Mini Dermatome uses disposable skin graft blades, specially designed for harvesting of skin
The unique features are: * Smoothly contoured one piece guard that protect the blade corners. This feature enables use of the entire length of the blade including the blade`s corner that allows accurate tangential excision of irregular and difficult areas. * Blades designed for skin harvesting opposite the common use of a standard razor blades in other old designed instruments. * The use of the blades corner allows accurate tangential excision of irregular and difficult areas. * The uniquely designed and positioned ergonometric handles maintain a clear operative field and provide for accurate, effortless control. * The distinctive handle-blade design enables use on flat surfaces (abdomen, back), corners and other difficult areas. * Simple, easy and safe loading and removal of standard blade. * Positive blade-lock to eliminate accidental opening during use.
Unique depth regulation system incorporates the following advantages: * Single micrometer adjustment. * Guard always parallel with blade edge. * Free access in restricted areas. * Practically maintenance-free and can be sterilized by all current means (steam autoclaving, Ethylene Oxide etc.)
